Simon van Kempen Webisode Episode 2 – The Real Housewives of New York City, er, House Husbands

For those of you outside of the US, you can’t view any videos linking back to the Bravo TV website. I can’t understand the logic of restricting a growing international Bravo TV fan base. I recommend sending a polite Tweet to @BravoPR, @BravoAndy or @BravoTV asking them to reconsider their policy. Every time I post one of these types of Bravo videos, I get yelled at by people from Canada, Australia and the UK!

  1. He’s such an ass! We call them Hans and Franz, the leg climbers. Good Luck getting anything through to Miss Andy or Bravo.

I think you are a great father. You love your children and you enjoy spending time with them. What more could they want?

I like the webisodes of Simon and family time. It’s nice to see fathers involved with their children’s care and building relationships with them. So rare these days unfortunately. While Simon’s maybe not everyone’s cup of tea, I give him lots of credit for that, and also for getting along with even some of the most annoying housewives on the show. His respectful and well thought out answers to tweeters, including antagonistic ones is also to be admired.

  4. I just can’t help myself. He quit his job to mooch off his wife’s income. The least he can do is get those kids off to school and whatever else they need. He wants power lunches and to drink at them. So, he gives them a bowl of cereal. How hard is that? I’m sorry, but I just don’t see where he is all that great as a father.

I have loved Alex and Simon from the first show they were on. I adore their little boys.. I don’t know how either of them have the patience for those shrews/nut cases/ self-indulgent women on housewives of n.y. Bethanny is the exception. These three are the most intelligent of the bunch… I hate that many call Simon ‘gay’. He is a true aesthete. In New York folks might also refer to him as a ‘suit’, lovingly. Simply, ‘a suit’ is a man who goes to work each day wearing a suit.
