Lisa Rinna wants everyone to know she was considered for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hillbillies, but that she turned them down so she could do her own show. (Translation, I want to piggy back on the success of that show by making it appear that I was somehow involved in the process, that I was practically hired as a Real Housewife, but that quite frankly, I was too good for them and had bigger offers.)

Well, that would have been great if she had been chosen as a Real Housewife of Beverly Hillbillies in the first place. I had a moment of deja vu and thought, I’ve seen this story before, so I Googled it.

Back in early November, Star Magazine reported that Lisa Rinna was one of 500 women who auditioned for a role on the Hillbillies. But Rinna wasn’t chosen.

Well fast forward to today. Now Lisa is blabbing about how it was HER decision to turn down the Hillbillies. Because the offers were rolling in and she had much bigger fish to fry – her own show Harry Loves Lisa. Lisa wants all the glory and attention of the Real Housewives, without any of that nasty, vicious, mean-spirited gossiping backstabbing and cat fighting. Lisa, we do not accept your insertion into this storyline. Instead, the Hillbillies found another Housewife with an even bigger ego, I mean, lip implant – Taylor Armstrong.

CNN quoted another news source, because that’s how major news organizations get all their news these days, as saying:

“We were in discussions originally,” Rinna told Us Weekly of the Bravo series, which went on to star Grammer, Kim and Kyle Richards, Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof and Lisa VanderPump. “I was up for it, and at the time I did my show instead of Beverly Hills. It was part of the process, but then my show came along so I ended up doing our show.”
